Elaine Thomas

Elaine Isadora Thomas, our founder, has been a driving force in shaping this vision. With over two decades of experience in youth development and a deep commitment to social justice, Elaine has seen the critical role that mentoring can play in interrupting cycles of poverty and empowering young people to build brighter futures. Under her leadership, the Association of Mentors aims to bring this transformative power to scale.

Ultimately, our vision is for youth mentoring to be universally embraced as a powerful tool for empowering young people to reach their full potential. We aim to see mentoring relationships recognised and supported as a central element in education, workforce development, youth justice, mental health and child welfare systems worldwide. And we will measure our progress and impact through rigorous evaluation, focusing on key indicators of youth wellbeing, social connection, economic mobility, and successful transitions to adulthood.

We invite you to join us in this vital mission. Together, we can build a future in which every young person is supported by a caring mentor and empowered to thrive.;”
